I felt it was necessary to fill the dark void that was my front page with something, so I will give you a brief update on whats going on (because I'm sure you've been dying to know and your life has been empty without me).

So I evidently haven't been really putting anything up. All summer I was trying to get an online course done (which I thought I needed for university but did not and now am still doing only for "the sake of finishing" as my parents would put it) which is still not done and I don't know if ever will be done. On top of that working, and on top of that several family vacations. With any freetime I had, as much as I'd want to be drawing, if I did I'd feel guilty for not working on the course. But then I'd not work on the course and find another way to procrastinate.

So now I'm in university with 6 classes, 2 which I'm not going to call advanced but are not the easiest of their kind (not a good call for a first year student) and still have the online course (haven't worked on for weeks, the teacher probably wants my guts for wasting her time D=) am commuting (driving to Vancouver ranges from an hour to one and a half) and working a solid 20 hours a week.

So I quit! (my job, not everything)

I don't know if that means I'll be drawing more or what, but thats definately something I wanted. I'll just see how it plays out after midterms?

On my drawing books? Haha, I've honestly been shunning drawing a bit... I have an online course I'm trying to get done for the sake of finishing something and I don't think drawing would help that. I still pick up my sketchbook, but like an hour a day at best.
Thanks for checking in, though. I had wanted to devote my entire summer to drawing, especially considering I'm going to be stuck in university next year but my work/school circumstances have kind of killed that. =/ How are you?

Nah, I said textbook on purpose. Having suffered though a couple semesters of online college, I think it's difficult to make that *and* drawing both priorities; it's one or the other, and college has deadlines.

Me? I was broke and sick at the beginning of the semester, so I took the summer off from art class. =D I got over the cold, but I'm still broke, haha. Work may be picking up soon though. Too bad, I was enjoying the long weekends. But more cash would be nice. :aww:

I haven't been drawing very much either. I finished a short fanfic or two and have been catching up on my reading. Whenever the neighbor kids come over to color I grab my newsprint and do some gestures, so I guess I'm still drawing -- sort of -- but I haven't finished anything but a screencap study for weeks.

I think it's okay. I needed time to recharge. =) If you're still drawing an hour a day, well, you make me sick. =D lol. Nah, not really.

Anyways, I know it's hard for me to talk to people on DA sometimes when I'm not "active" artwise -- I mean this is an art place, what else is there to talk about, I draw therefore I am worthy to socialize on DA -- but I'm not just checking up on production here; people are people even when they're not cranking out pictures. So it's good to hear that you're keeping your chin up. =)

Ahahaha... thanks for asking, thats very nice of you. I honestly haven't been drawing AT ALL over the past 2 weeks or so, which makes me feel pretty horrible. It's pretty busy for me because I've been doing all my grad stuff like commencements and I have grad this weekend so I know nothing is going to happen, considering when the dinner/dance and dry grad is. Then there is work... Plus I renovated my room, don't have a drawing desk anymore. I'm trying to replace it with a drafting table. But I still haven't even been using my sketchbook. D=

And you haven't updated for almost half a month now, too. =O At least not on DA. I want to see more of you art. I haven't gone anywhere near SJ for a couple weeks, but I swear once this craziness is all over I'll get caught up on Fallen and your sketchbook.
